Some Tips on Designing a Photo Birthday Invitation Like a ProA photo birthday invitation is not only a precious personalized memorabilia. It could also be a record of how a person looked and behaved at a specific point in his or her life. It is always interesting to have a photo taken and preserved for each year of one's life, and distributed to friends and loved ones, so they too could have a record of those priceless moments. And because these memorabilia are made to be treasured, a single photo birthday invitation design is usually shot and composed inside a professional studio. One feels he or she should take no risks with the look of the card, and rightly so! Thankfully, professionally made photo birthday invitations are also commonly cheap, so they are practical to have custom-made. But if you want an invitation that truly comes with your unique personal touch, you should make the effort to design the card yourself. It isn't hard to make a photo invitation! A good digital camera and a computer with image manipulation software like Adobe Photoshop, or perhaps a free software like Picasa, would be all the tools you need. Of course nothing beats the control over lighting and scenery that you can get in a studio, but this doesn't mean you cannot take a perfectly good shot of the birthday celebrant even without a carefully controlled environment! After you have taken your snapshot and loaded it onto your computer, it's time for your software of choice to do its work. Add borders or extra images to your snapshot to make it look livelier or more elegant. Colors would, of course, help in setting the mood of the invitation. If the guests can look forward to a theme party, make sure your invitation suits that theme, by including all the relevant color schemes and motifs. Adjust the hues, the brightness and contrast, and crop out the parts of the picture that aren't necessary. Finally, add the text to the front and the back of the card using exactly the same software you used to work on the images. Designing a photo birthday invitation like a pro could be quite easy, after you've gotten the hang of it! |
