Seal and Seal Wedding Invitations: The Fun of Going Old Fashioned

If, like millions of people around the world, you have been following the Harry Potter series, you might remember how school letters are sent to students. No, we’re not talking about the owls but the letters themselves. They are contained in envelopes sealed by a purple wax. Well, it’s not only Hogwarts that can be as old fashioned as that, people who are getting married can be too. Seal and seal wedding invitations, although rather old fashioned, might be an interesting alternative to the usual white cards.

Well, maybe not as old fashioned as that. Seal and seal wedding invitations need not be sealed with wax (but if you feel like it, why not?). An invitation for a wedding usually makes use of ecru paper. But the paper market is riddled with different types and it doesn’t begin and end with ecru. If you prefer a sealed envelope to contain your invitation, a heavier type of paper would be more fitting. Embossed or engraved letters also fit this type of paper but black or darker shades of ink would be as interesting.

This kind of invitation, more often than not, is used only in events that are not too formal. If you’re wedding will follow every tradition, say, in terms of dress, reception and other aspects, then the seal and seal might not be appropriate. But for those who are more adventurous in nature and are not into lace and frills, a less formal event is an alternative. The important thing to remember, though, is that the theme of the wedding should be reflected in the invitation. If the event is formal, then the invitation should be too. If not, then you can experiment and use other ideas, such as seal and seal wedding invitations.
