For girls, dolls and fairies are often the preferred characters. Also consider the popularity of the character; choose someone that most of the kid guests will know about.

Although some teeners prefer to dance the night away to celebrate their birthdays, there are still those who would appreciate a traditional party held at home or some other venue where everything is organized.
